EMS Original: MLB Offseason Winners & Losers

And here, inevitably with a blog, is my first post:

It's been a long offseason, and yet it seems like just yesterday that the World Series ended with Brian Wilson's final pitch to Nelson Cruz that resulted in a swinging strike three. Since then we've seen the good, the bad, and the ugly from just about every angle that baseball's offseason has to offer. Now we're roughly two weeks from when pitchers and catchers report for yet another glorious season of baseball, and with teams recharged and ready to go, we're ready to see some excited pennant chases and division races.
Cliff Lee, who surprisingly signed a 5-year, $120MM contract with the Phillies, is ready to join baseball's deepest rotation.

To start off this blog right, and to kick off the start of the season, I will go division to division, one division a day, six divisions total (covering all 30 teams) and briefly analyze what each team did to improve, or for some, not so much. Then, I will carefully make an educated guess as to how teams will stack up against one another in their division.

Schedule:

Tuesday - American League West
Wednesday - American League Central
Thursday - American League East
Friday - National League West
Saturday - National League Central
Sunday - National League East
